Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
QRMaker.top generates QR codes entirely in your browser. The content you encode — URLs, text, Wi-Fi passwords, email addresses, phone numbers — is never uploaded to, stored on, or transmitted through our servers.
1. Who We Are
QRMaker.top ("we", "the Service") is a free, client-side QR code generator. This Privacy Policy explains what information is (and is not) collected when you use the website, and your rights regarding that information, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
- Your QR content. QR codes are generated locally in your browser using JavaScript. The text, links, Wi-Fi credentials, email addresses, phone numbers and any other content you type never leave your device.
- Your images. Logos you add are read by your own browser (FileReader API) and embedded into the QR code locally. They are never uploaded.
- Accounts. There is no registration, login, or user account of any kind.
- Tracking cookies. We do not set advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies.
3. Information Processed Automatically
- Server logs. Like any website, our web server (Nginx) records standard access logs — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — for security and operational purposes. Logs are retained for a limited period and are not linked to any QR content (which we never see).
- Local storage. Your design preferences (colors, error-correction level, language choice) are stored in your own browser's localStorage so the tool remembers them on your next visit. This data stays on your device and can be cleared at any time via your browser settings.
4. Advertising
The Service may display third-party advertisements (for example, Google AdSense) to keep the tool free. If ads are enabled, the ad provider may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings and learn more in Google's advertising privacy documentation. Advertising partners never receive the content of your QR codes — that data never reaches our servers in the first place.
5. Your Rights (CCPA/CPRA & GDPR)
- Right to know & access: you may request what personal information we hold about you. Because we collect almost none, this will generally be limited to server log entries.
- Right to delete: you may request deletion of any personal information in our logs.
- Right to opt out of sale/sharing: we do not sell personal information. If personalized ads are enabled, use the opt-out links in Section 4.
- Non-discrimination: exercising your rights will never affect your use of the Service.
- GDPR legal bases: processing of server logs is based on legitimate interest (security & operation); ad personalization, where enabled, is based on consent via the ad provider's mechanisms.
To exercise any right, contact us at the address in Section 8.
6. Data Security & Retention
The site is served over HTTPS. Server access logs are kept for a limited operational period and then rotated. QR content and logo images are processed only in your browser's memory and disappear when you close the tab (except design preferences you chose to keep in localStorage).
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA) and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
